"Inverness events 2010"

13 February 2010: Inverness Fiddlers' Rally at Eden Court Theatre. The Fiddlers will be joined by fellow enthusiasts from all over Scotland to form an orchestra of over 100 players including special guests performing a varied program of traditional music from Scotland and beyond.

6 & 7 March 2010: The Inverness Music Festival is a competitive music festival open to all ages and abilities and will take place at Eden Court Theatre.

14 March 2010: Inverness Half Marathon is one of the most beautiful and most scenic for any Half Marathon, running alongside the meandering River Ness and below Inverness Castle before continuing along towards the famous Loch Ness. 

1 & 2 May 2010: Rock 4 Life Festival will be taking place at Bogbain Farm Inverness and acts already confirmed to appear are Status Quo, Steve Harley & The Cockney Rebel, Donnie Munro and The Vatersay Boys.

5 – 13 June 2010: Nairn Book and Arts Festival with many excitements and diversions to look forward to.

June 2010: Rockness music festival by Loch Ness. Dates still to be confirmed.

24 July 2010: Inverness Highland Games in Bught Park will take place as part of the Inverness Summer Festival. Founded in 1822 the Games are one of the most spectacular traditional Gatherings staged in Scotland and are one of the highlights of any visit to the Highland Capital.

26 - 31 July 2010: Inverness Tattoo will take place at the Northern Meeting Park. Full programme details will be available soon.

4 & 5 August 2010: Black Isle Show at Mannsfield Showground, Muir of Ord. This is the largest agricultural show in the North of Scotland.

6 & 7 August 2010: Highland Field Sports Fair at Moy Hall The fair offers a diversity of entertainments and activities for all of the family, from creche facilities to archery! The emphasis is on field sports activities with competitions in fly casting, gun dog handling and clay pigeon shooting

August 2010: Tartan Heart Festival on the Belladrum Estate, by Beauly is an outdoor festival of rock, country, blues and world music and is ideal for all the family.

August 2010 - Glenurquhart Highland Games at Balirbeg Park, Drumnadrochit, Loch Ness. Dates to be announced.

3 – 11 September 2010: Blas Traditional Music Festival Venues and dates to be announced.

3 October 2010: Loch Ness Marathon plus 5K and 10K River Ness fun runs. The Baxters Loch Ness Marathon takes place along the shores of Loch Ness.

October 2010: Inverness Book Festival will take place at Eden Court Theatre but dates have yet to be finalised.
